This Maltese Man May Have Organised The Most Elaborate Proposal Ever
A Maltese man has gone above and beyond to surprise his girlfriend with the most extra proposal we’ve seen in a long time. On their seven-year anniversary Luke Zarb Cousin blindfolded his girlfriend, Anastasia, and drove her all the way from St. Paul’s Bay to St. Julians which is where all the magic happened.
Walking his now-fiancée (spoiler alert: she said yes) to the gates of the luxurious Villa Rosa he slipped inside and left a trail of notes for her to follow. Each of the seven notes represented the years they spent together, and after a treasure hunt around the whole villa the final stage was a trip up the stairway illuminated with literally hundreds of candles.
At the top of the stairs, Luke was waiting down on one knee with a bouquet of flowers and a ring. He popped the question and she said yes, but this was only the beginning. Re-desending the stairs, the couple’s family were all waiting with bated breath in the dining room that was empty just minutes ago. Now it was home to their loved ones and a massive feast to boot.
From champagne in Swarovski Crystal glasses to a delicious-looking sushi cake, everyone at the party got a little taste of the extravagance Anastasia experienced during this epic proposal.
