This Maltese Photographer’s New Exhibition Explores Two Of Our Favourite Places: The Sea And The Bed

If you ask me, there are no two places more Maltese than a bedroom and the sea. But they are also quite different. Local photographer and visual artist Ritty Tascum is exploring the relationship between these two ‘places’ in her next exhibtion; Where I Lay Down.

Curated by Lisa Gwen, the exhibition will be on from the 8th till the 28th of March at the Malta Society of Arts in Valletta.

Ritty’s works will explore the human relationship between the two seemingly unrelated spaces. The sea and the bed have been constants in her life and work and have repeatedly dominated much of her previous work. They often represent places of refuge, solace, peace and oneness with the world and inner-most thoughts.

Entrance to the exhibition is free of charge, and further information can be found here

In the meantime, you can check out more of Ritty’s work on her Instagram page and on her official website.
