This Small Maltese Coffee Shop Has Just Been Named One Of The Best In Europe

Local coffee roasters Lot Sixty One have just been included in Big 7 Travel’s ‘50 Best Coffee Shops In Europe’.

The roasters’ small Valletta coffee shop was listed as number 32 on the list, however it seems that coffee shops were listed alphabetically as opposed to a ‘countdown’ list. Lot Sixty One is listed amongst several coffee shops from larger European countries such as England, France and Denmark – so that’s quite an achievement!

“This gorgeous cafe is the perfect addition to the old walled city of Valetta. They roast locally fresh coffee daily on location at their roastery, located in Naxxar. Their sweet treats served with the coffee are an absolute joy – a real must have.”

Lot Sixty One roast their own local coffee daily over at their roasters in Naxxar, and deliver fresh to their coffee shops in Valletta and St Julian’s, as well as other venues like Carob Tree and Emma’s Kitchen.

Lot Sixty One was also recently featured on the print issue of popular travel guide Lonely Planet

“Lot Sixty One’s modern take on a Valletta coffee house includes organic and fair-trade beans roasted locally, and a sweet selection of snacks including muffins, brownies and bliss balls”

So it’s safe to say they seem to have made their mark here on our tiny island!
