Watch: Lebanese TikToker Cooks Up A Batch Of Delicious Maltese Pastizzi For Her 14 Million Followers

Popular Lebanese TikToker chef Abir El Saghir has decided to pay homage to our sunny little island by cooking up a batch of authentic Maltese pastizzi for her 14.7 million followers to drool at.

The 23-year-old Lebanese chef’s page is dedicated to whipping up some delicious -looking meals from all around the world, and after receiving a comment from someone saying that they’ve “never seen a foreigner cook Maltese food” she decided to take up the challenge and subsequently, smash it.

El Saghir is considered to be one of TikTok’s most viral Arab chefs and, according to her page, she is the first Middle Eastern TikToker on the platform.

In fact, her videos are intensely popular, one of which has garnered more than 180 million views.

Meanwhile, her pastizzi video, which shows her making the classic irkotta version, has been viewed 724.9 thousand times and liked 63.4 thousand times and counting.

The young chef lives in a small town in Lebanon’s West Bekaa and she makes a living by selling clothes. However, her passion for food has shot her up to fame with her mouth-watering TikTok videos that allegedly take five to six hours to shoot and edit.
