Watch: ‘What Have You Done?’ – Irish TikToker Hilariously Blasts Malta’s Mr Riley In Defence Of ‘Icon’ Mr Tayto
Malta’s Mr Riley was hilariously criticised in a comical food review by Garron Noone as he strongly defended Irish “icon” Mr Tayto.
Garron Noone, an Irish musician and comedian, is renowned for his food and town reviews. Through his content, he has amassed more than 619,000 followers on his social media, with TikTok being his most popular platform.
“People of Malta, who the fuck is this?” Noone starts off the video as he calls out the entire Maltese population for the “bastardisation of our lord and saviour Mr Tayto.”

The video continues with Garron tasting three of the Mr Riley snacks to see if they are any good.
“I don’t know about them,” the comedian remarked as he went back into the bag to get another taste
“Also this fellow is ugly,” he added as he continues to playfully criticise Mr Riley’s appearance throughout the video as he tries out the remaining snacks.
Garron also creatively described the snack Party Time as “like decorations some old women keep in their little bowl in their toilet and that’s filled with random shapes.”
This review quickly garnered more than 500,000 views on TikTok.
This is not the first time that shots have been fired at Mr Riley as the Maltese mascot looks similar to Mr Pat Tayto who has been around since 1954 in Ireland.
However, Mr Riley’s story started in 1974 as a joint venture with Murphy Crisp of Dublin Ireland and Riley Potatoes Crisps of Scunthorpe UK where they created Mr Riley in this collaboration with the logos of the two partners.
