Air Malta Flight Grounded After A Bird Strike During Takeoff
In a statement released earlier this morning, national airline Air Malta has confirmed one of its planes was involved in a bird strike upon departure.
Flight KM100 destined for London Heathrow Airport at 07:20 sounded the alarm immediately and the aircraft returned for inspection.
An internal investigation has since been launched.
Malta International Airport also added that it is working with Air Malta to accommodate the passengers’ travel needs and has apologised to travellers.
