An Epic Cruise Adventure: A Floating Slice of Paradise
When I needed a holiday that packed in both exploration and relaxation, I took the plunge and booked a cruise—and it turned out to be a dream come true.
Unpacking just once and waking up in a new place every day? Genius (and yes you can call me a lazy traveller). Here’s why it was such an incredible experience:
1. A Feast for the Senses
Foodies, listen up: this cruise was like a passport to global cuisine. Every day brought fresh dishes at the Garden Café, with options ranging from sushi to BBQ. And the speciality restaurants? Total game-changers. Think intimate dining with top-notch menus that made every meal an event.
2. Shore Days, Your Way
Exploring new destinations was a breeze. Some days, I joined guided tours that unveiled hidden gems. Other times, I wandered freely and soaked in the local vibes. My favourite? The Bocelli Sea and Sound excursion—an unforgettable sensory experience.

3. Endless Fun Onboard
Traveling with a seven-year-old can be a challenge, but not on this ship. From water slides to cupcake-making and Splash Academy, there was never a dull moment for her—or for me! While she was off making friends, I indulged in spa treatments, hit the casino and enjoyed stellar evening shows.
4. Evenings Full of Magic
When the sun went down, the fun kept going. The ship’s entertainment lineup included musicals, comedy acts and even a chic nightclub for dancing the night away. Dressing up for these events was part of the charm—it felt like a new adventure every night!
5. A Crew That Felt Like Family
The heart of this trip? The incredible crew. From the cheerful “Washy Washy” team (yes, it’s real and hilarious) to the ever-helpful staff, their energy made the cruise feel extra special. On the final night, they sent us off with a standing ovation that had me tearing up!
Bonus Tip:
I booked the premium package and it was so worth it—unlimited cocktails by the pool, speciality dining galore and even Wi-Fi throughout the trip.
Would I do it all over again? Absolutely. If you’ve never cruised, take my advice: pack your bags and book that cabin on the Norwegian Epic. The team at SMSMondial will help answer all your questions!
