Direct flights between Malta and the Faroe Islands will kick off for the first time next summer, with five round-trip flights scheduled.

The flights – leaving Malta on June 19, July 3,17, and 31 and August 14 – ill be offered by Atlantic Airways, the national airline of the Faroe Islands. They will transport passengers to Vagar Island, one of 18 islands in the archipelago of the Faroe Islands.

The Faroe Islands, located between the UK and Iceland, are an autonomous county within the Kingdom of Denmark with a population of only 50,000.
