Flydubai Will Begin Operating Flights To Malta Four Times A Week
Flydubai has announced that it will start operating four flights a week from Dubai to Malta starting May.
The Dubia-based airline will be adding Malta to its European network starting 12th May with a connecting flight via Catania in Sicily.
The flight will offer a direct route for people travelling to and from Malta and Dubai for the first time since last July when Emirates stopped all flights to the country, closed its Maltese office and made all local staff redundant.
“Connectivity is paramount for solid ties between States; and likewise between Malta and the United Arab Emirates,” said Maltese ambassador to the UAE, Maria Camilleri Calleja.
“We are grateful to flydubai for announcing the route to Malta, providing an opportunity to foster and strengthen the political, commercial and people-to-people relations between our two countries,” she said.
In addition to Malta and Catania, flydubai will be adding Naples and Salzburg to its destinations.
