Gorgeous Georgia On My Mind: Air Malta Launches Summer Flights To Tbilisi
Have you booked your summer holidays yet? If not, and if you feel like getting a taste of the Caucuses, then you’d be pleased to know that Air Malta has just launched a weekly summer flight to the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.
The flights, from Malta to Tbilisi and back, will depart every Thursday until 18th September with the possibility to extend the service further according to the demand.
“This is the first time that the Maltese Airline is operating scheduled services to Georgia,” said Air Malta’s Chief Executive Capt. Clifford Chetcuti.
“The interest in this market started around a year ago when the airline was looking at growth opportunities to expand its network. This service is expected to open up new tourism markets to Malta and generate around 3,300 customers in both directions during the period of operation.”
The flights will not only offer Maltese residents a new place to visit through a direct flight but will also allow Georgians to use Malta as a pit stop en route to major European cities.
