Looking For An Awesome Hostel In Malta? We’ve Got You Covered

Article Featured Image

The word ‘hostel’ is enough to make any lux traveller shudder with its negative connotations and association with dirt and shabbiness. However, this is a common misconception. There has been a vast improvement in hostel standards and design in recent years, tempting more and more backpackers to opt for the hostel life experience.

Apart from the appeal of the special atmosphere and community culture hostels promote, travellers are tempted by the leeway to splurge on memorable experiences rather than paying lots for a room they will only sleep in, and perhaps being able to afford more time in the country. In a nutshell, travelling on a budget can be a potentially amazing experience as long as the right hostel is chosen.

Here is our pick of the coolest hostels in Malta and why we love them.

1. Inħawi Boutique Hostel

Inħawi is one of the newest additions to the Island’s hostels, a building previously owned by the Sisters Of Charity and used as a school. This is why we love it.

Its location

Some greenery amidst the concrete jungle that is Balluta & St.Julian’s – a sight for sore eyes.

Also a stone’s throw away from the sea, which can be seen from upstairs.
