Malta International Airport (MIA) has released its financial results for the first nine months of 2024, revealing a strong performance driven by record-breaking passenger traffic and ongoing infrastructural developments.

Between January and September, MIA generated €107.8 million in revenue, with a net profit of €39.5 million. This success was bolstered by welcoming nearly 6.9 million passengers during the same period.

In October alone, MIA hit a new milestone, surpassing 800,000 passenger movements in a single month, marking an 8.7% increase compared to the previous year. Italy, the UK, and Germany led the market leaderboard, while Poland posted a significant 49.8% growth.

With projects like the Terminal Expansion and VIP Terminal upgrades underway, MIA has revised its 2024 projections upwards, expecting nearly nine million passengers and a €46 million net profit by year-end.
