Maltese Youths Plan To Drive From Zob To Osh In Epic World Road Trip

Inspired by the Mongol Rally, a group of Maltese friends is planning an epic road trip this summer – with a cheeky twist.
Timothy Schembri, Ryan Grech, Kris Saliba and Jake Jovanoski plan to drive from Malta up to the ZOB Munich bus stop and eastwards to the city of Osh in Kyrgyzstan – before continuing to Mongolia.
It is an epic route that could see them travel through 26 countries in around eight weeks – Malta, Italy, Austria, Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkiye, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzebskitan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, China, and Mongolia.
Along the way, they intend to post content about their trip to celebrate the diverse cultures they encounter.

In the spirit of the Mongol Rally, they don’t intend to spend much on acquiring a car and plan to camp for most of their trip, although they will occasionally stay at hostels to charge their devices.
However, they are crowdsourcing funds and seeking sponsors for money for fuel, vehicle maintenance, food and video equipment. Donors will be rewarded with exclusive content, personalised souvenirs and special recognition in their video credits, or even as a sticker on their vehicle.
They have raised a total of €1,220 so far out of a goal of €15,000, and people who wish to donate can do so through this link.
