Nearly €440 Million Spent By Tourists In Malta In October 2025
Malta’s tourism sector continued its upward momentum in October, with fresh figures showing a sharp increase in visitor numbers, nights spent, and overall spending.
New NSO data shows that 417,103 inbound tourists visited Malta in October 2025, a 17.3% increase compared to the same month last year.
These visitors spent a total of 2,564,811 nights, while total expenditure reached €437.8 million.
Rented accommodation remained the most popular choice, accounting for 89.5% of all guest nights.
Tourism figures for the year so far have also remained strong. Between January and October 2025, Malta welcomed 3,492,586 inbound tourists, who collectively spent 22.2 million nights on the islands.
Total tourist expenditure for this ten-month period is estimated at €3.47 billion, with visitors spending an average of €993 per capita.
