‘On Our Radar For A While’: Maltese Travel Agency Is First To Lead Group Trip To Pakistan

In a few days’ time, a group of travellers will embark on the first ever Pakistan group trip organised by a Maltese travel agency, with another group set to depart this month.

GlobalTravelBook will take adventurers for a two-week journey across the northern part of the Asian country, from the bustling capital of Islamabad and the beautiful Hopar Valley to the stunning Manthokha Waterfall and the historic walled city of Lahore.

“Pakistan has been on our radar for quite some time,” said Luke Zarb Cousin, who cofounded GlobalTravelBook with Shaun Galea.

“As avid travelers and members of multiple travel communities, we’ve heard countless stories about its breathtaking landscapes in the north and its vibrant cultural tapestry. We felt it was time to offer our travellers in Malta the opportunity to experience this remarkable destination for themselves.”

Besides basking in the natural beauty of Pakistan, travellers will also be given a chance to immerse themselves in a completely different culture and way of life

“When I mention to friends and family that I am travelling to Pakistan, their reactions are ‘Why Pakistan?’. Our aim is to unveil the inherent beauty that every corner of the world holds and to show people that these misconceptions are wrong,” Zarb Cousin said.

Shaun Galea said that, for GlobalTravelBook, the joy of travel lies in exploring different cultures, particularly the food.

“It’s like stepping into a new world, where everything feels fresh and exciting. Pakistan offers that and so much more,” he said.

Besides organising trips to far-off places, GlobalTravel Book runs a Facebook group called “Global Travellers and Foodies” where people are invited to share their travel and food-related experiences and seek travel-related advice.

The community regularly organises events, such as foodie nights, free treks around Malta, and traveller get-togethers.
