Say Goodbye To €9.99 Ryanair Flight Tickets For The Next Two Years

Say adieu to those God-given, affordable tickets with Ryanair!

”Ryanair prices will not return to €9.99 levels for some time,” Michael O’Leary, the Chief Executive of the airline, stated during a press conference, earlier last month.

The airline warns future passengers to start planning their summer holidays earlier, or else risk paying more for the same journey.

O’Leary foresees heaps of chaos for the year owing to an increase in flight disruptions, in fact, Eurocontrol (which operates air traffic in Europe) anticipates a ”major air traffic flow management delay” this summer.

Moreover, the French air traffic control started strikes on 19th January, this will add to the delays and increase in prices.

”Each strike day costs us 18,000-20,000 passengers because we have to cancel flights,” O’Leary claims.

Wizz Air also commented on the air traffic control delays:

”The whole system is understaffed and dealing with hugely increased complexity due to the partial closure of airspace and an increase in military use of airspace,” Jozsef Varadi, Wizz Air chief executive, warned.

O’Leary further claims that the pressure on Germany due to the war in Ukraine, will also influence the rates, ”Most of southern Poland has been closed off for NATO exercises, so everything going north-south from the Baltic states down to Greece and Italy now has to fly around Germany”.
