TripAdvisor’s 2017 Traveler’s Choice Awards Rank Malta In Top 25
TripAdvisor has just announced the winners of its annual Traveler’s Choice Awards for 2017, and Malta has just about made the cut.
While we did not make it to the list of the 25 best beaches, or even islands, in the world, Malta has been ranked as the 23rd best destination in Europe.
Even though that doesn’t seem like too impressive of a position, some pretty big names were in the running, with London, Paris and Rome taking the top three places.
Ranking just behind Dublin, Malta beats Goreme (a beautiful town in Turkey literally carved into volcanic rock) and Moscow.
Of the 347 things to do that are listed on Malta’s TripAdvisor page, Mdina is ranked the highest, with over 7,000 reviews (half of which received the highest visitor rating of ‘Excellent’).
The Traveler’s Choice Awards are the highest honour TripAdvisor can bestow. Established in 2002, these annual travel-industry-based awards are the only ones of their kind that are actually based on millions of reviews and opinions from travellers around the world. In more ways than one, they reflect ‘the best of the best’ for service, quality and customer satisfaction. Over the last 15 years, a long list of categories has been added, including the awards for best attractions, all-inclusive resorts, museums, and landmarks.
The full list of awards given for this year and the one before is available on TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards section.
