Malta’s favourite topic of conversation at the moment is by far (and still) construction. It has been for a while, and will probably be for a while to come. From over-development, to the construction of questionable buildings, to the fact that the number of trees we have on the island constantly decreasing.

In light of this, an Instagram account called @uglymalta has gained popularity by showcasing some questionable architectural choices and proposals from across the island.

Like this collection of unnecessarily skinny buildings

That tower above their surroundings like a metaphorical middle finger to aesthetically pleasing design.
