Maltese fans get Adele talking about Eurovision

British superstar Adele took time to praise Malta's Eurovision prowess during her concert in Amsterdam on Monday. "You've come from Malta!" the singer exclaimed as excited fans shouted where they're from, "you lot always do really good in the Eurovision don't you?"

Howard Keith, the manager of Malta's Eurovision star Ira Losco, took to Facebook to post "Adele praised Walk on Water in her Amsterdam concert making reference to some Maltese in the audience... Cheque's in the post Adele," Mr Keith joked on Facebook.

Martina Buhagiar, a young Maltese fan, was at the concert with her friends when Adele asked where they came from.

"When we said we were from Malta, she immediately mentioned the Eurovision and said she loved the song," she told Lovin Malta.

Ira Losco placed 12th with Walk on Water in this year's Eurovision final, despite high expectations to place much higher in the rankings.
