The bedroom is their turf and they are here to play. The latest novel from Sliema Wives author Gerard James Borg is here, and it’s everything we didn’t know we needed.

The latest in his series of sexy fictional scandals, all set in Malta, Borg’s latest works follows a group of bachelors from Tigné and one frivolous fiancé.

When one of the bachelors winds up in bed with his best friend’s wife-to-be, things take a nasty turn, but with chapter titles having surfaced already, we’re perched to see how this story unfolds…

Available from all leading local bookstores from October 9th, we’ll be seeing the unfolding of a murder, adultery and salacious stories from the riled up men of one of Sliema’s most prestigious areas.

Sliema has been a favourite setting of Gerard’s recent novels, as he told reporters once before: “if it sells in property, it will sell…”.

Touted as “the sexiest thriller you’ll read all year” by Sunday Circle editor Iggy Fenech, the story centres around three key factors: sex, obsession and murder.

The first seven chapters are in reference to the Bible’s genesis stories of Adam and Eve, which possibly sets the scene of a forbidden lust – a bite of the apple if you may – and the remaining 44 chapters then progress through themes of assumed subterfuge towards Chatper 22, Mind Games.

Presumably leading into a mid-point climax of earlier laid plot points in Chapter 43, Tightrope, with the story then counting down, towards the dramatic finalé, from Chapter 46 through to the final part of the story: Reqiuem.

We’re also set for an introduction to the Wolf of Tigné Point and the Candyman, so there’s that.

Also, the video teaser is a pretty good thirst trap for both middle-aged mums and mid-twenties gay men, so, 10/10 will read when released.

Share this video with your friends and get them a bit hot under the collar in preparation for this saucy book to drop in October.
