WATCH: Emma Muscat’s Old Secondary School Comes Together For Heartwarming, Upbeat Message
Our whole country has been gripped with a patriotic celebrity fever as thousands of Maltese people are showing their utmost support to Emma Muscat, the young local who has been excelling at the Italian talent show Amici. Now, Emma’s old school took the time to send a very special message to the Maltese representative.
“We wish you all the best Emma,” St. Michael Foundation’s headmaster Alfred Sant Fournier said, sharing a video of students dancing in the school yard, joined by teachers holding up ‘GO EMMA’ posters. “We are very proud of our past student!”
The video is just over a minute long, but has already started making the rounds. At the time of writing, it’s amassed over 6,000 views and 150 shares.
Last weekend, Emma Muscat made it through the final rounds of Amici after a tense song-off against Einar, her opposing team’s contestant.
The show started with scores of contestants vying for the top spot, but after weeks of hard work and emotional roller coaster, Malta’s very own Emma has the crown within her grasp.
Just in case Emma needed one final push for last night’s success, the teen star was on the receiving end of one epically emotion surprise: a visit from her mother organised by the show’s producers.
Bidding goodbye to her on-screen boyfriend, Biondo, last week, Emma had to push extra hard in this final set of vocal challenges to impress the judges.
Next up for the young Maltese singer is an even more nerve-wrecking appointment this weekend, when the Italian TV music show’s semi-final will be taking place.
