WATCH: Is This The Coolest Maltese Music Video Ever Released?

Get ready for a witchy, sugary adventure

It’s no secret that the femmetastic duo Fuzzhoneys is one of the most loved bands in the alternative scene right now. Ahead of the release of their new album this weekend, the Fuzz girls have just shared the visuals for their new single Candy... and it might just be the best music video to come out of the island.

There’s honey combs, candy and an overload of aesthetic pleasure amalgamated with an eerie Victorian feel. By the end, the video will hit you like a sledge-hammer and leave you wanting to loop it all over again.

Directed and produced by the band's own Francesca Mercieca, the overdose of sweetness will unfold before your eyes in an explosion of visual ecstasy.

There’s a bit of a The Cure’s Lullaby vibe going on in one of the scenes where a nightmare-esque sequence takes place in what looks like the coolest haunted house in existence. The costume design by Giulia Orsi and Martina Spiteri is as deliciously opulent as ever, and the whole thing seems perfectly timed with next week's Halloween.

Featuring Francesca Mercieca and Caroline Spiteri (the Fuzzhoneys themselves), along with Martina Ranieri, Althea Corlett and Julia Camilleri, we're willing to be this video will soon go down in the Maltese music video hall of fame. And if all the positive feedback it's been getting in the last 12 hours is any proof, next weekend promises to be a big one for the rock-fuelled ladies.

Don’t forget to attend Fuzzhoneys’ Love Juice Album launch on the 27th of October.
