WATCH: Kaxxaturi Serves Up Some Harsh Truths About Malta’s Law Courts… And A Couple Of Hard-To-Swallow Pills

Kaxxaturi is back, and this time, we’re setting our sights on Malta’s courts, using jibes at the island’s saintly politicians and an unhealthy obsession with Simone Cini to shed light on the neverending delays in the legal system.

This month, irrverant host Jon Mallia is serving up some hard-to-swallow pills to accompany his regular dose of biting commentary, placing a special focus on the very serious topic of time-barring in child sex abuse cases.

An issue that could never be a laughing matter, time-barring is letting paedophiles get off scot-free even if they’re guilty, with victims given between 10 to 15 years to report the abuse.

This means that if a five-year-old child is molested, then they only have until they are at most 20 to come forward. The legal limitations are more puzzling when considering that more often than not the abuse could be taking place in their family home.

The issue has definitely hit home with a number of households around the island, with this latest episode hitting 20,000 views in less than 12 hours.

So if you want to see things change once and for all, share the sixth episode of Kaxxaturi. And while you’re at it, show some love for Joseph Degiovanni and his lyrically complex #MutInhexa!
