Fresh off their appearance at the first-ever Lovin Music Awards, Red Electrick took to the streets of Valletta to preview their latest single featuring on their upcoming album Tragic Optimistic.
The four-piece band chose to play the album’s first single ‘Dive In’, acoustically, to the lucky public in Malta’s capital city.
“M’għandekx aptit,” sighs Joe Roscoe as their first request for a passerby’s time is refused. However, it doesn’t take long for the Maltese pop-rock quartet to nail down some keen ears.
After asking some of the youths to add the track to their Spotify playlists, the REK boys find a woman who’s happy to hear the happy-go-lucky track as an experiment for the band unfolds ahead of the single’s music video release in the coming weeks.
It isn’t until the guys bump into Benny, one half of OG Maltese duo Benny u Tonia (and the parents of progressive house spinner aficionado DJ Ruby) that things get really good.
The boys are gearing up for their live album launch set to take place next weekend on November 9th… and they’ve got some surprises in store for all their fans.
If you’re keen to check it out but aren’t sure what might be in store, take a look at the after movie from last year’s show below.
But be warned (and hyped); some very unique features are coming to this year’s shingdig!
