Watch: Six-Year-Old Boy Takes On Xlendi’s Ġostra Pole And Goes Absolutely Viral
A video of a six-year-old boy attempting to make it to the end of a ġostra pole in Gozo has won people’s hearts and a whole lot of views, going viral in the last couple of days.
The young boy, Giacomo Gatt, was filmed by his father slowly scaling the pole, which is traditionally covered in lard for some seaside towns’ feasts as people attempt to make it to the very end and snatch a number of flags attached to the end of it.
But as far as young Giacomo went, he didn’t have any of the dangerous obstacles set for him, and instead carefully tried to make it to the very edge – which he nearly did!

Since the video was uploaded over the weekend, it’s already amassed over 22,000 views, with many congratulating him on his awesome attempt.
Who knows – we might have a future ġostra champion on our hands!
