Watch: ‘The Most Evilest Evil That Ever Eviled’ – Maltese Wrestler’s Promo Video Goes Viral With Two Million Views

The world of pro wrestling is full of colour characters vying for attention in and outside the ring… and one local seems to be well onto something!

Calling himself The Evil Genius RANIK, Romario Parnis took to social media last month to show off what his meticulously-crafted wrestling persona is all about. And while his profile says he’s the “most methodical, maniacal and diabolical entity in sports entertainment”, the hilarious three-minute clip shows him in his most vulnerable and sensitive side… even if it is meant to be his good twin brother, Not-Ranik.

And the cheeky, humorous references don’t stop there, with Ranik explaining how, because his birthday is on 24th July, he quite literally is “evil 24-7”.

Sporting a black-and-orange costume filled with tiny details such as names of fellow Maltese pro-wrestlers and drenched in Maltese motifs such as the eight-pointed cross, Parnis has been teasing his full, HD reveal for years now, but is now ready to take on the world. And with two millions views in just 40 days, it sure looks like he’s managed!

But Romario’s journey started long before last month’s video… and he’s been keeping all his followers posted on the crazy ride it’s been.

“12 years ago, I was just a fat bum wanting a dream,” he shared on X back in January, sharing a before-and-after shot of his drastic transformation in the past decade. “Today, I’m just a crazy bum chasing that same dream.”

Beyond the two million views, though, Romario has also received a staggering amount of respect from wrestling fans worldwide, with many praising his character’s sublime writing and his avoidance of “trying to look cool and avoid a generic trend in the sport.”. Many have even tagged WWE and called on the behemoth wrestling production company to include the Maltese “evil genius” in their roster!

“I don’t like to partake in ‘paroli fil vojt’ when it comes to this,” the wrestler said last week sharing the amazing YouTube milestone. “I’d rather show and not tell in regards to goals. So the next update regarding my path will only happen once I genuinely have another thing of substance to show. Which I’m working for that to be realistically soon as well. Thank you all once again to the friends and family that put their belief in me without any form of hyperbole behind it.”

One thing’s for sure – we’ll all be staying tuned to Ranik’s adventure and what the future may hold for this Maltese wrestler!
