Nothing is gonna stop this girl from hooping!

London-based Maltese hula hoop sensation Clare Brincat shows us just how fun hooping can be with her new feel-good funky Instagram video.

You’ll have a whole new appreciation for the art of hula hooping after you’re done watching Clare move, dance and hoop to in the 40 degrees sweltering Maltese heat in Siġġiewi and to Caroline Rose’s song, Bikini.

Brincat shows us that there’s more to hula hoops than just twisting your waist in a hopeless effort to keep the hula moving. Her ability to juggle multiple hoops in a long-sleeve unitard whilst keeping a big smile on her face is impressive and we can tell that bystanders in the video think so too.

“The regulars were all hanging out, but once I started hooping, it became a bit of a spectacle,” Brincat told Lovin Malta.

“The locals were super welcoming and were happy to be involved,” she continued. “I even managed to get the petrol guy to hoop with me!”

The video was shot by Mari Galea after the two met over Instagram and features the photographer’s soft/natural artistic touch… which is a total juxtaposition to Brincat’s energetic and ‘out-of-place’ hooping.

In the most beautiful way, though, it all fits in perfectly, especially against the backdrop of a stunning and peaceful Maltese village like Siġġiewi.

“The village core there is perfect because it’s very open but doesn’t have a lot of traffic passing through, so I guess it was somewhat private.”
