WATCH: Last Night’s Żebbuġ Fireworks Shot From Three Different Angles Is Like Watching 5 Minutes Of Insanely Surreal Special Effects
It isn’t summer in Malta until the fireworks start appearing all over the island, and while we’ve all seen numerous colourful displays light up the skies, it’s tough to gaze upon the fireworks while also checking out the awesome looks of amazement on the crowds below. Until now, that is.
Last night’s insane fireworks display by ?a? ?ebbu?’s St.Philips Fireworks Factory titled ‘Pyro Masters’ has been captured in this delightfully diverting video using a split-screen presentation rotating around three cameras.
The video heightens the drama of the pyro-show by displaying both the fireworks display and the crowds’ reaction side-by-side. The result? You can watch people look on in awe as you look on in awe. Now that’s some firework inception right there.
Recruiting the talents of Johann Caruana and Stephen Wellman, Steve Zammit Lupi (yes, the young ?ebbug activist who was just elected as a local councillor) worked on the mesmerising clip
Added to the duality of the video’s visual effects, the soundtrack chosen to punctuate the luminous bursts of fire is enough to make you feel as though you’re in an VR action film that’s weirdly centred on communal gathering and repetitive T-shirt design.
In other words, it’s a good choice of climactic, rousing music to complement the optical marvels happening in the village centre. And of course, who can forget a good old Gigi D’Agostino banger? In short, that’s one hell of a show.
