WATCH: Akon’s Favourite ‘City’ In The World Is Malta, Apparently
So it turns out that multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated music artist Akon’s favourite city in the world is Malta.
And while we appreciate the compliment Akon…Malta isn’t a city!
In a conference call with crypto trading platform Binance, the Senegalese-American global star was asked what his favourite city in the world was…

… and he went straight to Malta and its perfect combination of “desert and the water.”
Akon is no stranger to the island, having visited a couple of times on crypto business and even performing one-off shows at conferences and nightclubs.
And it seems like the Maltese people showed him one hell of a time, so much so that it has topped his list for favourite “city” in the world.
While Malta isn’t a city, it’s small (or big?) enough to be one and we’ll give Akon a pass this time around.
After all, the celebrity/philanthropist has done a lot of good in this world from providing solar energy to African countries to giving us some of our greatest childhood hits like Right Now and Lonely.
