WATCH: Emma Muscat In Tears And Laughter As Her Father Makes Amici Appearance
Emma Muscat, the young Maltese singer making waves on the Italian TV show Amici, received a lovely surprise last Saturday as her father appeared on the show to lend her some moral support.
In a live call from Malta, Conrad Muscat praised Emma for getting so far in the show.
“Your mother and I are so very very proud of you and of all you’re doing,” Conrad said. “You are so strong and you are as humble as you have always been. You are a person of few words but you pour so much emotion into your music and your voice. We are so proud that you are living this story.
He then showed Emma a photo of her dog Pearl and a small note informing her that Pearl is missing her, which reduced the young Maltese singer to a combination of tears and laughter.
During the third serale of 21st April, Muscat’s performance helped her White Team win, progressing to the final phase in the process. Her constant wins (especially during the Ritornello Contro Ritornello challenge against Blue Team’s Carmen) helped her secure a victory for the team.
Emma was even chosen for the final phase of the night, and while she did not go on to win the evening, she did proceed to the fourth serale. She was also selected (along with singer-songwriter Irama and rapper Biondo) to be taken straight to the final phase of the series thanks to televoting.
The third phase saw Emma sing, among others, a heartfelt rendition of Coldplay’s A Sky Full of Stars.
The judges decided that none of the 11 participants left in the running would be eliminated that night, leaving Emma well within a chance of winning the whole show.
