WATCH: Joe Demicoli Gives Eminem A Run For His Money In New Hip Hop Track

Malta’s king of satire Joe Demicoli has a long track record of tongue-in-cheek songs. But while he usually changes the lyrics to popular melodies, Demicoli’s latest release sees him venturing into hip hop territory.
Last weekend saw the release of Il-Baqra Milli Jkollha Ttik, a collaboration between Demicoli and the popular Maltese hip hop group Kapitlu Tlettax. “This song was the fruit of imagination and at no point are we insinuating at anyone,” the hip hop group explained.
The video quickly went viral, gathering 4,286 views on YouTube and dozens of shares on Facebook.
The song, which follows the typical Kapitlu Tlettax sound and beat, also has an interesting running sample of a traditional guitar riff running all throughout.
As you’d expect from a collaboration between the Kapitlu guys and Demicoli, the song has some explicit language which should only be listened by a mature audience, even if it’s all harmless immature fun.
At one point, Demicoli can even be seen “rapping” while sitting on a deckchair in Birżebbuġa… or is that Miami?!

The music was by Base de Rap, with filming to the video being made by Quality Trash Media.
