WATCH: Malta Finally Gets Its Big Break On Ellen
Whether we’d like to admit it or not, we all love it when Malta gets mentioned in a Hollywood film, a popular TV series, or even a viral show. Well, our most recent big break comes courtesy of none other than Ellen Degeneres!
The superstar TV host welcomed back Noah Ascano, an adorable four-year-old boy who is insanely (and adorably) good at world geography. Ellen held up flashcards with different countries’ maps, quizzing Noah on anything from states to landmarks, from San Francisco to the Philippines.
Halfway through the quiz , Ellen held up an unmistakeable couple of dots that many Maltese people will instantly recognise… even if they looked like non-defined blobs to thousands of viewers.
Beaming, Noah adorably guesses it’s Malta, also guessing Valletta as the capital city. When asked which body of water is near Malta, Noah guesses Ionian Sea… which, to be fair, is located nearby, just between Southern Italy and Greece.
Noah continued to guess the rest of the questions, eventually ending up winning a flight to London. The four-year-old said he really wanted to see Big Ben, and Ellen was as usual very quick to make his dream come true. Here’s hoping the Ascano family drop by Malta while they’re here!
In the meantime, we’re all glad we got a quick but very adorable shout-out on Ellen, and we’re willing to bet a lot of Maltese people were just sitting there falling even more in love with little Noah.
