Fourteen-year-old Eliana Gomez Blanco has just been picked to represent Malta at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, taking place on the 24th of November 2019 in Poland.

She auditioned with the song ‘Sto Male (Je Suis Malade)’, and she’ll soon be taking the stage and hopefully winning over audiences all over Europe

The song she auditioned with, which title translates to ‘I am sick’, is quite an emotional ballad. We still don’t know what song she’ll be singing for the JESC, but we can assume it will be another power ballad that shows off her range.

Eliana has been singing since the age of six and has recently obtained her Grade 8 Trinity Rock & Pop singing exam with a distinction.

Malta’s previous JESC representative was 12-year-old Ela Mangion, who placed fifth overall at the finals in Minsk.

Last year, Eliana won the Għanja Tal-Poplu Żgħażagħ as a duet with the song ‘Dwell’, she also tried her luck at the JESC last year and made it to the local finals.
