It’s been a hot summer full of dolphin sightings in Malta, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. Even with autumn officially underway, some lucky locals are still catching a glimpse or two of the friendly creatures around our seas… and last long weekend was no exception.

In the latest video to be sent in to us by Michele Azzopardi, a couple of dolphins can be seen playfully swimming around a boat just off the coast of Mellie?a, enjoying the calm, warm waters the islands have been getting in the last couple of weeks.

At a point, one dolphin even ventures outside the water, playfully drifting around and in front of the boat’s lucky passengers.

Clearly, we’re still well into dolphin spotting season, even if the end of summer will soon enough be bringing colder, wetter weather to the islands!
