Is there anything more nostalgic than PlayStation One? We’re going to go ahead and answer that for you; no. Bringing in a dose of nostalgia, the latest hip hop video to come out of the island is equal parts fresh and classic.
215 Collective have quickly managed to become household names in the local music scene, and in between super regular releases and rap feuds, they sure have got their hands full.
Now, as 215 artist Yannick gears up to release his debut EP Kam later this month, he took to social media today to release a single from the release.
The track, that’s very reminiscent of the sound Yannick has now built for himself, comes with a video that’s bursting with nostalgia
Set in one of the island’s band garage complexes that many Maltese people will instantly recognise, the video features Yannick and fellow 215 rapper Eddie Fresco playing a couple of PlayStation One games (particularly absolute classics Tekken 3 and Crash Team Racing) and even jamming along in the garage.
