“You don’t have a boyfriend, how old are you now? You’re growing old, the clock is ticking,” he would tell her.
Rebekah Borg immediately jumped in to say she had faced the exact same thing. Nerissa Massa joked she would have called to say “I’m pregnant.”
“It just shows the mentality,” Dalli explained, adding that even today women still face pressure to marry and have children as soon as possible.
But beyond the pressures, the episode also delves into the humour and resilience of motherhood, from juggling work and public commitments to the importance of accepting help when it’s offered.
