If you were looking forward to seeing Kyonne and Dale, influencers from Love Island Malta, in the ring tonight at Fight Island, you’re not alone.
Unfortunately, the much-anticipated boxing match between the two has been cancelled, and both Kyonne and Dale are opening up about why the fight won’t be going ahead as planned.
In a recent video shared with their followers, the two influencers explained the situation.

According to Kyonne and Dale, the cancellation wasn’t something they wanted to happen, but a series of issues with the event organisers led to their decision.
“We took this fight seriously,” Kyonne said. “We trained hard, we made sacrifices, and this is the last thing we wanted.”
Dale went on to explain that while they were fully committed to the event and had put in the effort during training, things started to fall apart when it came to how they were being treated by the event organisers.
“We focused on the fight and the training, but we weren’t treated with the respect we deserved. They used us for content, and we didn’t even get a signed contract until very late into the process.”
Kyonne added that the organisers, Bulletproof, were uncooperative when it came to discussing the contract details.
“They just told us that we hadn’t done anything and that the contract needed to change because of that,” he said.
One of the revelations from Kyonne and Dale’s explanation was about a suggested wager that was meant to be a part of the fight. According to the two influencers, the organisers wanted them to agree to a humiliating consequence if they lost the match.
“They were talking about making us do something embarrassing in front of an audience,” Dale said. “We were already nervous about boxing in front of so many people, but then they came up with some ridiculous ideas.”
One of the proposals was for the loser to either get a tattoo of the other person or undergo the painful process of laser-removing an existing tattoo.
Both Kyonne and Dale made it clear that this whole experience felt like it was more about the organisers getting views and content rather than respecting the fighters and the integrity of the event.
While both influencers were excited about the idea of stepping into the ring, they’re clear that their personal well-being and values come first.
“We made this video to let everyone know why the fight was cancelled,” Kyonne explained.
Lovin Malta reached out to Bulletproof for a comment and is currently awaiting a response.
