Sometimes, a joke is so bad, it’s actually good. Countless puns fall under that category, with over a million followers, the guys from The Pun Show have turned it all into an art form. Now, taking to the medium of music, they’ve written a country song. As in, the genre is country, but it also has 30 country puns in it. Genius.

Taking the genre’s typical route of tackling a rough breakup, Dan Shaba puns his way through the names of 30 different countries, giving the audience such gems like, “Kenya imagine? You Canada imagine all this Spain” and “Namibia I be that guy who stays home and smokes Sweden and drinks beer, Italyeave you scarred”.

By country number 13, it’s time to pun Malta, and it comes in the most unexpected, hilarious but painful way.

“Now I don’t Bolivia, Iran from the sight, or I should be India, Maltaple times.”

In Dan’s defence, we’ve heard the same couple of lame jokes and puns countless times now. We’re all fed up of being called Maltesers, and it’s great to see someone taking a different direction. In fact, this might be the first time someone has ever made the connection between Malta and multiple.

We’re still not quite sure what to think of it, and in fact, we had to hear it more than once. Maltaple times, one might say.

Uploaded just last Saturday, the video has already gathered over four million views. With over 50,000 shares, we’re willing to bet that number will soon get much bigger as more countries decide whether they actually like their pun.

The Pun Show regularly rolls out videos like this, with another video seeing Dan managing to pun 40 rapper names into a 90 second rap song. That video, uploaded just over a month ago, went on to get nearly 16 million views, so one can only hope that Malta’s horrible pun contribution goes just as viral.
