WATCH: We Gave Out A Bitcoin, Worth Almost €6,000, At Yesterday’s Lovin DELTA Night Summit In Valletta
While many people are still checking to see how much their 0.0002 Bitcoin is currently worth, two people got to share a whole coin – that’s worth around €6,000 – last night in Valletta. Talk about lucky!
After a special pub crawl organised by Lovin Malta in collaboration with the DELTA Summit for the crypto and fintech industries, the two guys went home significantly richer.
Hundreds of people turned up to the pub crawl, which started from Charles Grech and ended up at Kennedy’s in The Gut. Each guest was given a numbered coaster, which they had to exchange with another person to form a team. The pairs then entered a lottery with a chance to share a whole Bitcoin, which was sponsored by ChronoBank.io and BRND WGN.
The excitement was palpable at the end, with people from all over the world wondering whether they could really go home with an extra €3,000 in their pockets. Would they spend or invest their cryptocurrency, or would they hold on to it in the hope that Bitcoin once again soars to the heights it had reached earlier this year?

Eventually, Luka Knezić from Croatia, and Philip Rasch from Germany were announced as the winners, to roaring applause and a couple of envious smiles.
“I didn’t expect to win, but it was a great experience,” Luka told Lovin Malta. “I’m probably going to invest the money in some companies I met at the summit!”
The DELTA Summit, which attracted some 4,000 people, comes to a close today with several speeches about the future of blockchain and cryptocurrencies… along with an awesome party at the Intercontinental Hotel.
