WATCH: You’ll Never Be As Hyped About The Weekend (Or Anything In Life) As This Gozitan Primary School
Gigi D’Agostino. Outside of the Mediterranean, that name might not carry a lot of weight, except for a couple of cringeworthy memories from the late 90s. But back here in Malta, two decades later, that name has remained synonymous with moments of jubilation. And if we’re talking jubilation, we might’ve just found the video that ends all videos.
In a three-minute clip uploaded onto Facebook yesterday, a primary school from Rabat (Gozo) went all in during what looks like the best assembly ever. The school is actually known as The Happy School, and it only takes about half a second into the video to realise why the institution chose that name.
The footage shows head of school Lelio Spiteri priming all the children for one of the most popular songs on the island; Gigi D’Agostino’s 1999 hit L’Amour Toujours. You know the one. That one. The one that has 124 million views on YouTube, 123 million of which are probably Maltese views.
What follows are three straight minutes of intense euphoria as every single student jumps around with Spiteri and their teachers, having the absolute time of their lives.
For very obvious reasons, the video has already gone absolutely viral, amassing over 14,000 views, over 100 shares, and getting hundreds of positive reactions.
Clearly, no one will ever be as hyped about anything, ever.
