Water Polo In The Blue Lagoon: Group Of Local Ex-Players Join Forces Against Cancer For One Very Unique Tournament

On Saturday the 13th of October, a group of ex-water polo players will be organising a charity fund in a super unique venue, taking a beloved Maltese sport to a place you definitely wouldn’t expect. And it’s all in the name of raising awareness as part of Pink October.

However, the Comino Blue Lagoon Masters need an extra helping hand. They need as many players as possible to register for this event, as the more players they have, the more funds will be collected for the Pink October Charity Fund.

As for the venue, that name might’ve given it away; these guys are taking waterpolo to Comino’s Blue Lagoon!

For the first time ever, an actual water polo tournament will be taking place in the Blue Lagoon. So what are you waiting for? If you’re a non-active polo player of age 30 or over, you should apply. Not only is this for a really good cause, but you will also be scratching that water polo itch you’ve got.

Joining the team will be ex-players John Farrugia, Enzo Dimech, Philippe Gatt, Patrick Cachia, Marco Camilleri, Michael Paris, Jesmond Fava and Michael Scerri. Players will be divided between the number of teams and balanced out accordingly.

Transport will be provided to all the players starting 8:00 from Marfa. A minimum donation of €20 will be collected from each player. If any supporters or family members need to book transport, they could talk to the guys mentioned above.

The tournament will start at 9:00 and will finish at 13:00. If you want to join this day of fun in Comino, contact any of the lovely players above, trust us, it will be worth it.
