What Would You Ask A Legend? Iron Maiden Frontman Bruce Dickinson Is Coming To Malta For One Very Special Night

Tattooed millionaire, superstar frontman, airline pilot, entrepreneur, best-selling author, beer brewer, motivational speaker, film scriptwriter, TV presenter, international fencer… is there anything Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson can’t do? Well, very soon, he’ll be talking all about it and taking questions right here in Malta!

We’ve all heard his meteoric voice puncture through some of the biggest heavy metal anthems ever written, but what you’ll be able to experience this June is something a little different. Something even more personal.

Bruce Dickinson will be throwing a special one-man speaking show on 8th June at the University of Malta

You’re not alone, kid!

With such a high-octane, rollercoaster life behind him, Dickinson definitely has a story (or a billion) to tell, and he’ll be attempting to run the audience through the very best of them in just over two hours.

What Does This Button Do? is a concept that was born out of the Iron Maiden frontman’s 2017 best-selling autobiography. To promote the book, Dickinson had hosted a couple of readings and Q&A sessions in theatres around the UK. Since then, though, it’s evolved into a beautiful beast that feels closer to a stand-up comedian’s routine, with some shows lasting just shy of three hours.

“Armed only with his humour, charm and a simple slideshow, Bruce Dickinson offers an intimate idea of his dazzling life,” Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet had said of the show. “There are diligent jack of all trades and creatively exuberant entrepreneurs. And then there’s Bruce Dickinson, who plays in his own league.”

And with a seemingly endless list of achievements under his belt, who wouldn’t want to hear from the voice behind timeless tracks like Trooper and The Number of the Beast? No one, that’s who.

So what can you expect from Bruce Dickinson’s show in Malta?

Basically, the evening will be split into two parts.

The first half of the show sees Bruce taking a humorous, often satirical look back at his long, eventful life. Expect compelling tales, Dickinson’s uniquely anarchic style, and those old photos that will surely act as the coolest time machine ever. Oh, and risqué stories which never quite made it to the final edit of his book? He’s got you covered!

The second half of the evening is when things get interestingly interactive. Dedicated entirely to an intense Q&A session, this segment will be opening the floor to any quirky, frank, batshit, random and sometimes completely leftfield questions you the fans might have. But don’t expect to catch the OG Ironman off-guard, because he’s sure to be equally quick-witted and funny.
