Only 31 days into 2019, Malta has had a very interesting mix of sunshine, storms and strong winds. And while rain in January isn’t that much of a rare feat even on our sunny islands, we never get fed up of a glorious rainbow. Add another rainbow to the mix, and you’ve got yourself a money shot.
Last Tuesday, one Maltese man arrived at Il-Majjistral Nature and History Park in the early morning and was welcomed by a beautiful rare sight; a double rainbow.
Doing what any of us would’ve instantly done, he pulled out his phone and managed to capture the beautiful sight, stunning surroundings and all… inadvertently perfectly summarising this whole month in Malta.
The photo quickly gained quite a lot of traction among his Facebook feed, as other users shared their own great snap from the morning (including an impressive 8am shot of the double rainbow from Ħal Far).
As one comment cheekily observed, however, the double rainbow wasn’t the only rare sight in the photo.
