WATCH: Maltese Drag Queen Teases X Factor Comeback After Last Night’s Colourful Audition

Maltese drag queen Electra Shock has suggested she could return to X Factor Malta next year after she was eliminated from the competition last night.

“Although the result wasn’t the one I wished for, I have the honour to say that I have finally opened the road for others to start believing in themselves,” Electra wrote.

“I am very proud of myself and I would love to take this opportunity to thank my family, friends and followers who believe in me continuously. My question is…. X Factor 2020? Yes? No? If yes…. Electra? Mirko?”

Hailing from Qormi, Mirko Bugeja, who moonlights as Electra, is best known for winning the drag queen title of Miss AXM Malta back in 2015.

She gave the judges a live rendition of Celine Dion’s Courage last night and, although she didn’t make it through, she did deliver what judge Ray Mercieca called “one colourful performance”.

While Ray might not have been a huge fan of the vocals, fellow judge Ira Losco definitely saw something in the audition and gave the queen her only yes which sadly left her unable to progress through to the next stage of the competition.

Mirko took to Facebook shortly after his audition to explain the reason behind the appearance of his alter ego.

After thanking his family, friends and fans for their support, he suggested that we may be seeing a return for X Factor’s third season.

If X Factor is renewed for a third season in 2020, do you think we should see Electra return or should we see Mirko as himself?
