X Factor Malta Judge Alex Alden Apologises For Her ‘Out Of Order’ Behaviour On Last Night’s Show

X Factor Malta judge Alex Alden has taken to social media to apologise for her emotional comments made on last night’s episode, comments which many felt to be unprofessional and out of place.

After her groups Xtreme and 4th Line were sent home in a public vote that relied on viewers at home, she tearfully used phrases such as “shame on you,” and “sacrilege” to describe their choices.

At one point, she just looked at the cameras and asked the Maltese public: “Really?”.

While some applauded her for her honesty, other viewers were taken aback.

“I was completely out of order with my behaviour when both my groups were eliminated in the XFactor last night,” she said in a Facebook post published at around 3am.

“I was very passionate about these girls and I let the heat of the moment get to me, but that is NO excuse. I’d like to apologise directly to the Maltese public for my comments last night,” she said.

“While I don’t agree with the decision, in the end, it was left completely up to you and I respect that, even if that obviously didn’t come across last night. Once again, I am sorry for letting you down – and also to my family and friends who have supported me throughout. I hope that you can all forgive me and that we can all move on to next week’s exciting live show,’ she ended.

Maltese personalities poked fun at Alex Alden’s comments

And many in the X Factor Malta comments section went in on her for her “disrespectful” comments

However, some people saw the reaction as typically Maltese

“Alex is disliked because that’s how us Maltese react,” one commenter said. “When someone we least know walks in and comments, speaks their mind or does their job we rebel, because in our eyes they’re outsiders. She might have not said the right words but hey it’s a fun entertaining competition. Take a break and give her one too.”
