A 15-year-old teenager was arrested by police in relation to stealing from a boat in Marsaxlokk.

Police were informed at around 1.20am early this morning that a robbery had occurred from a boat in Xatt is-Sajjieda, Marsaxlokk. 

Police immediately went on-site, where investigations commenced immediately after they were provided with information about the vehicle used for the robbery.

A few minutes after the alleged car model was identified, the car was spotted being driven in Bormla. 

As soon as the driver noticed the police behind him, he tried to escape by driving at high velocity toward the police, so they move out of the way. The police continued to follow the man and successfully arrested him, where he was identified as a 15-year-old teen.

After searches, police found multiple items which seemed to have been stolen from the boat, along with sachets of drugs suspected to be cocaine.
