A 25-year-old Englishman is at risk of dying after losing control and overturning a quad bike he was driving in Gozo.

The incident occurred at around 7pm yesterday evening, along Triq il-Blata, Wied il-Mielaħ, Għarb, Gozo, police have confirmed.

Police immediately went on-site and discovered that a 25-year-old had lost control of a Segway Snarler quad bike, and ended up overturning.

A medical team and an ambulance transported the man to Gozo General Hospital, where he was certified to be suffering from serious injuries. 

Magistrate Brigitte Sultana is leading an inquiry.
