Watch: 25-Year-Old Man Dies After Losing Control Of Car And Crashing Into A Tree In Attard
A 25-year-old man lost his life yesterday night after a nasty car crash in Attard.
The incident occurred at around 9.20pm in Triq l-Imdina. Initial investigations suggest that the young man, also an Mtarfa resident, was driving a Mercedes, lost control and crashed into a tree and a signpost.
The victim of the crash was identified as Alejandro Brincat, a father of two and football player with Vittoriosa Stars.
A medical team from Mater Dei, police officials and members of the Civil Protection Department were present on site but he was unfortunately certified dead on the spot.
A magistrate has opened an inquiry into the case as police investigations are ongoing.
