4. The Maltese Bread Is Amazing
So much pride is taken in the way bread is made here and with various dips, oils and ways of serving it, you’ll find it is some of the very best in the world.

6. Everybody Speaks English
Which is a great help when you are on holiday here. None of the culture is lost though with a strong local language as well.
7. One Of Europe’s Best Airports
Voted the 2nd best airport in Europe and boasting the most scenic airport approaches in the world, this is also one of the most well-connected destinations with a whole host of low-cost flights as well as its own great airline Air Malta.
If ever a city was more suited to being a European Capital of Culture then we have yet to see it. The build up and event itself will be spectacular.
9. Drug Use Is Technically Decriminalised
Just one of the many ways in which the Maltese have become so progressive.
10. The Seafood Is Plentiful
You’d expect it on an island in the middle of the Med but they go above and beyond here with their love for seafood. An absolute paradise.

Because it is so far south you will always have close to perfect weather for a holiday here.

The furthest you can ever be away from somebody is 40km so you will never be far away from those you love.

Get there before the crowds and you’ll be blown away by the quality of the water. One of the great swims on this planet.

We all know that pasta is amazing and that so is pastry. Combine the two and you have an insanely tasty dish.
With Italy so close by it is no surprise that you’ll get an abundance of great gelato on the island. Essential for cooling you down as well!
