30-Year-Old Man At Risk Of Dying After Woman Loses Control Of Car On Gozo Channel Ferry

A 30-year-old Greek man is at risk of dying after a woman lost control of her vehicle and hit him while on the Gozo Channel Ferry.

The incident occurred at around 9.30am this morning when the ferry arrived at the Gozo port in Mġarr.

A 26-year-old Irish woman who was driving a Ford Ka lost control when she arrived on the ramp, leading to her car moving backward and hitting the man. 

An ambulance was called on site which transported the injured man to the Gozo General Hospital. It was then certified that he is suffering from injuries of a serious nature.

Magistrate Brigitte Scicluna is leading an inquiry.

Police investigations are still ongoing
